President’s Message
Welcome to our website!
It is with great pleasure that I will be serving as President of the Lefaivre Lions Club for a second year, for the 2025–2026 term.
Our two main fundraising events this year are:
– the Ball Tournament, and
– the Yves Lacombe Bass Fishing Tournament.
Thanks to these fundraising initiatives and to our generous sponsors, we are able to support our community through the following activities and donations:
– Visits and Christmas gift distribution to the residents of the Centre d’Accueil Mon Chez Nous
– Santa Claus visits and Christmas gift distribution for preschool-aged children in Lefaivre
– Awarding scholarships to one student at each level: secondary, college, and university
– Purchasing beautiful flower planters that brighten our village at the beginning of summer
– Donations to the schools of Alfred and Plantagenet, the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation, the Food Bank, Saint-Thomas Parish, and the Lefaivre Library
– Organizing a Halloween celebration for children
– Organizing a Christmas parade on Lefaivre’s Main Street and the lighting of the Tree of Friendship
These are just a few examples of the Lions Club’s involvement in our community. In addition, whenever possible, the Lefaivre Lions Club supports various organizations, committees, and individuals who express a need for assistance.
The Lefaivre Lions Club is always looking to innovate. If you have suggestions for fundraising ideas or activities, I invite you to contact me and share them.
I am fortunate to work alongside an incredible team of dedicated individuals who spare no effort in fully committing themselves to our activities, and I sincerely thank them. Their willingness to serve is a source of pride for our club. We are always in need of volunteers, so if you would like to learn more about the Lefaivre Lions Club, we invite you to attend a meeting. You may even be inspired to join the club and volunteer while having fun. I also encourage you to visit our website and Facebook page regularly to stay informed about upcoming activities and to get in touch with us.
Yours in Lionism,
Marie-Eve Yelle
